Pre-Kindergarten Eligibility Criteria
Classes will be determined using the following criteria:
Children whose parents qualify at or below 200% federal poverty level
Children identified as homeless or in foster care
Information on Tuition Charges
Tuition eligibility is based on socio-economic status and will be determined by the LA4 program eligibility criteria. Placement for tuition students will be based on the results of the parent questionnaire and academic screener.
Tuition payments are divided into 10 installments from August to May. Tuition costs for the 2021-2022 school year will be $3,250 for the year ($325 per monthly installment payment from August to May). This installment plan allows the payments to be divided over 10 months and is not impacted by the number of school days within a month.
Monthly tuition payments will only be accepted by bank draft. The full-year tuition amount of $3,250 can be made in August in the form of a money order or cashier’s check made payable to Vermilion Parish School Board. Paperwork will be provided at the time that eligibility and placement have been determined. Incidents of default payment can result in removal from the program.
This year, the Enrollment Support will take place through video tutorials.
