P-EBT Information

Food stamp money will be provided to students whose instructional learning mode was Hybrid or Full-time Virtual in the 2020-2021 school year (September 2020 - May 2021).  An EBT (debit) card will be issued in the student’s name and mailed to the student’s mailing address that was on file with the school on May 24, 2021.


If the student moved during the school year and their mailing address was not updated, parents will need to contact the legal department by email at or by phone at 337-898-5777 to schedule an appointment to get the address corrected.  The following information will be needed at the appointment:


  • Picture ID to show proof as guardian

  • Custody papers, if applicable

  • Proof of residency (electric bill, lease agreement)


Once the corrected address is forwarded to DCFS, it may take up to 120 days to get the corrected card mailed to the new address.


The P-EBT card will need to be activated with a 4 digit number which is the last 4 digits of the student’s local (Vermilion Parish School District) student ID number.  This number is printed on the report card, the student’s ID or you can log into the Student Progress System and find it there as well.
