Job Opportunities
The Child Nutrition Program has rewarding job opportunities available throughout the district. Not only do we offer insurance and retirement benefits, but we also have training for job advancement. During the school year, the work schedule for the cafeteria positions are Monday through Friday, early morning to early afternoon, which allows for nights, weekends, holidays, and summers off.
The job availability in the cafeterias include Cafeteria Managers, Full-time Technicians, Substitutes, and Contract Substitutes. All job openings and application processes are now online only.

Starting Pay
Substitute – starting pay is $9.33 per hour. If a substitute works at the same employee for more than 10 consecutive days, the substitute pay increases to $10.37 per hour.
Contract Substitute – starting pay is $12.00 per hour. Contracts are offered to long-term substitutes upon review of evaluations by the Child Nutrition Supervisor.
Full-Time Technician – starting pay is $13.23 per hour. Pay may increase with approved experience (step pay).
Full-Time Manager – starting pay is $15.65 per hour. Pay may increase with approved experience (step pay).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to read and write fluently in English at least at the fifth grade level.
Must be able to complete simple math problems involving addition and subtraction.
Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to be exposed to and work in drastic temperature changes.
Must be able to work and come in contact with water, detergents, cleaning agents and sanitizer.
Must be able to stand for 7 hours or more daily.
Must pass functional assessment test and drug screen prior to fulltime employment.
Uniform Requirements
All Child Nutrition Program employees working in the cafeterias are required to wear a uniform. The uniform guidelines are listed in the policy below.
