💙🏆EHS CC @ Div III State CC Championships at NSU, 11/12🏆💙
EHS traveled to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches to compete in the Division III State Cross Country Championships. The girls finished 9th in State Division III and #2 in Public Schools. The girls took to the course at 9:45am and were led by Alexa Tarin-Carlon completing the 3.1 mile run in 20:42 with a PR. She was closely followed by Isabelle Hardin (20:44/PR). Coming in third for the Lady Cats was Abigail Theall (PR), then Makayla Vice, Braelyn Nelson, Heather Hardin, & Jaylee Robin.
The boys competed next and went in seeded 11th in Division III and #2 in Public Schools. They finished 7th and came out 1st among public schools. The boys were led by Lawson Broussard who PR’d completing the 3.1 mile course in 17:51. He was closely followed by Carlos Arellano (17:56/PR), Cadn Lange(SB), Braxton Bright, Parker Blanchard (PR), Connor Lange (PR), & Kalex Cornner (PR).
Congratulations to all of these amazing athletes. Special thanks goes out to SR Kaleigh Blanchard who ended her HS CC career today. She will be missed! Also, thanks to Sr Kat Mire, who has been a wonderful manager for the CC team for years and will be missed. Thank you to Managers Emma Richard and Madison Hargrave for a great season.
