We are currently monitoring the weather with the Office of Emergency Preparedness and with the surrounding school districts. Reports are still unclear on the potential weather threat for overnight and tomorrow morning.
Once a decision is made, we will use all of our social media and communication methods to let you know of the district's decision.

Menus for the month of December have now been posted to the website.
As a reminder so that necessary arrangements can be made, Vermilion Parish School System will be closed on Monday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 8th for Fall Break and Election Day.
In addition, the Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner. Schools and central office will be closed on November 21st through November 25th.
Monday is the official state mandated parent/teacher conference day for Vermilion Parish schools. Students do not have school.
Specific details on the schedule of your child's school should have been given out by the individual school.
Tomorrow is the beginning of the second nine weeks of school. Report Cards are set to go home on Friday, October 21st.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, October 24th.

October 7, 2022 Homecoming Events:
After consultation with the Vermilion Parish Central Office, Homecoming events will go on the day of homecoming (Friday, October 7, 2022). There will be some slight changes due to SAFETY protocol. We will still have the parade, a Pep rally for high school students and the community, and variations of visitation at each school.
As stated earlier, all three Erath (Erath High, Erath Middle, Dozier Elementary) schools will resume visitation for Homecoming. Visitors will be required to present a ticket with their name or get in a line to sign in. No Bags or purses of any kind will be allowed. Students will be sent home Tuesday with a sheet requesting the number of tickets needed. Alumni (visitors) can begin picking up tickets at EHS from Tuesday, September 13th through Friday, September 23rd. For questions, contact the office.(PLEASE NOTE: If visiting Erath High, Erath Middle and/or Dozier Elementary, tickets will be needed from each school.)
No students in grades 8th and under can attend Erath High school games unless they are accompanied by an adult. Students 8th grade and under can not attend with a high school student. All students must be seated in the stands at all times unless going to the restroom or to get concessions. At no time should students be gathered around talking or playing.
There will be a high school student section for Erath High school students only. Students, you MUST BRING YOUR ID to enter.

Dear Parents and Students,
We are looking forward to another successful school year for 2022-2023. The first day of school is Thursday, August 11, 2022. Please take a moment to review the important information below:
New student registration will be held July 25th - July 28th from 8:00AM to 12:00.
Mandatory Orientation will be held in the Erath High School Gym on Wednesday, August 3rd.
Please attend the session designated for your grade level. The schedule is as follows:
●9:00AM Seniors
●11:00AM Juniors
●1:00PM Sophomores
●4:00-6:00PM Freshmen
●6:00-7:00PM Freshmen Parents
*Freshmen Parent Orientation is Wednesday, August 3rd from 6:00-7:00PM. All parents who are new to Erath High School are also highly encouraged to attend.
All students must come prepared to pay the following fees at orientation:
● ID Card & Planner Fee - $20 (must be paid prior to the start of school and before a chromebook is issued)
● Parking Pass - $15 (Parking is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis)
● 2022-2023 Class Dues - $20 (if you haven’t already paid)
*Payments can be made by check or cash. Checks made payable to Erath High School.
ALL incoming 9th grade students MUST provide a completed domicile form along with a copy of a current electric bill AND one other approved proof of residency (filed homestead exemption application form, apartment or house lease receipt or documentation providing ownership, water bill (not if attached to the same electric bill), or gas bill (not if attached to the same electric bill).
School pictures for 9th - 11th graders will be taken during orientation. School uniforms are not required for these pictures. Seniors will take their senior pictures according to their pre-scheduled times on either August 1st or 2nd. Seniors and parents should refer to the pre-scheduled times posted in Google classroom and in the class facebook page. Seniors pay a $15 sitting fee. These pictures are used for the yearbook and newspaper.
PBIS shirts and Class shirts that were purchased by the June 6th deadline will be distributed at orientation. Students can wear their 2022-2023 PBIS shirts ONLY in lieu of uniform shirts Monday - Friday, and class shirts on Fridays with uniform bottoms. Forms will be available at orientation for late orders. This order will be delivered after school begins.

EHS' New Assistant Principal
Erath High is proud to announce that Mr. Austin Touchet, a teacher at Erath High School, has recently been appointed to the position as their new assistant principal.
Austin is married to Bailey Dotson Touchet and together they have two children, William who is three, and Luke, who is one. He is the son of Francis and Kesha Touchet and the late Suzanne Touchet.
His father, Francis Touchet was an Erath High Principal for 10 years.
Austin Touchet is a 2013 EHS graduate as well as a 2017 UL graduate. He received his Master's Degree from Lamar University in 2022.
Help us in congratulating him on his new leadership role. Congratulations, Mr. Touchet!
