Gueydan High School

Dr. Blake Touchet, former Vermilion Parish educator and current Teacher Support Specialist for the National Center for Science Education, paid a visit to Gueydan High School today to meet with Coach Jim Picheloup and deliver a book to him written by Professor Nathan Lents. Coach Jim and Dr. Touchet recently participated in a professional learning conference where Professor Lents was the guest speaker. Lents is an American scientist and university professor at John Jay College where he serves as the director of the Cell and Molecular Biology program. GHS is proud of the lifelong learning of all of our staff members, and we want to celebrate and honor Coach Jim for his participation in this professional learning opportunity. We would also like to thank Dr. Touchet for his visit to our campus.
