What was your favorite subject when you were in school?
English and Drama
What do you love most about being a Gueydan Bear?
My students are always ready to learn and work so hard in my class. I set very high expectations and they always rise to meet them. I love seeing them collaborate and work together in class. They are never afraid of a challenge.
Who or what inspired you to be a teacher?
My former teachers that took the time to build relationships with us outside the classroom.

Mexico City, Mexico

Any sort of pasta
What's something you learned through failure?
That negative self talk is the most destructive thing you can do to yourself

Being a person that others aspire to be like
If you could go back in time to when you were your students' age and give them advice, what would it be?
Don't worry about what others think about you! Be true to yourself and be proud of who you are.
What's one thing people would never guess about you?
I really like all kinds of music (even rap)
Do you have any favorite memories from your time in school?
Performing in front of hundreds of people as Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables my senior year.
Could you tell us a little about your family?
I have been married to my husband Robert for 3 years and I have a 17 month old daughter named Blair Rose. I also have three dogs and two cats.

Netflix, coffee, my students, my family
