Some of the best students and teachers in Louisiana are right here in Gueydan, and we think they deserve some recognition, so this is our chance to get to know them a little better. This is our Student Spotlight on GHS 12th Grader Annalise Breaux.

I am a part of the 4-H club, Beta, band, football manager, and softball
What do you love about being a Gueydan Bear?
What I love about being a Gueydan Bear is the fact that I can come to school and know that I have so many people who are there for me. This school is like one big family.
What's your favorite class this year?
World Civ.
Who's your favorite teacher you've ever had at GHS? What did you love about being in their class?
My favorite teacher would have to be Coach Tim. He always made sure we had everything we needed for any test. He was serious majority of the time in class but when he would make a joke it was always fun and the whole class would laugh. Coach Tim loves to see his students succeed and that is why I loved his class.
What's your favorite school lunch (served in our beautiful new cafeteria)?
If I'm being honest I do not eat school food
What event(s) do you look forward to the most at school every year and why?
I look forward to homecoming and prom because they are the only times of the year that I can get all dressed up and have fun with my class and other kids at the school.
If you could pick any 3 GHS students to go with you on a cross country road trip, who would they be? Where would you go?
If I could pick any three GHS students to go on a road trip with it would be Kaylee Vincent, Madyson Cabra, and Aaliyah Lute. We would get on Route 66 and travel the whole thing.
What's your best/favorite memory from your time as a Gueydan Bear so far?
My favorite memory from my time as a Gueydan Bear would be playing the games during homecoming week and coming together as a class and being competitive like we have been since elementary school.
If you could give one piece of advice to future Gueydan Bears, what would it be?
If i could give one piece of advice to a future Gueydan Bear i would tell them to have fun in their high school years. Don't let what others say stop you from doing what you want to do. You are only going to be in high school once so make it count.
Do you have any music, books, movies, or TV shows that you love?
I love any murder mystery book, I love the Avatar movies, and Supernatural would be my favorite show.
Do you have any interests or hobbies outside of school?
Outside of school I love to junk journal, sleep, and play with my dogs (all 5)
What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to become a daycare owner and have my own happy family to spend my days with.
