Name: Mia Boullion
What is your favorite part of your job?
Seeing my students become productive and successful citizens in our community!
How many years have you been working at Kaplan High?
This is my fifth year
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
Spending time with Rori Kate, Elie, and the rest of my family! My second favorite thing to do is spending time with my teacher friends outside of school!
What is something people would never guess about you?
It’s taken me 30 minutes to think of an answer to this question, so my answer will be that I am an open book type person and there is nothing that people don’t already know about me!
What inspired you to become a teacher?
Most of my high school teachers inspired me to become a teacher! They showed me that they genuinely cared about me and my success, and helped me through high school, college, and still to this day. Those same teachers are now my co-workers getting me through each day and all the seasons of my life!
Did you graduate from Kaplan high school?
Yes in 2012; Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate!

Friends
What Grade levels and subjects do you teach?
9th-12th grade; Business electives (IBCA and Principles of Business)

Any of the big European cities
What are your favorite hobbies?
Reading Colleen Hoover books and binge watching new TV series
What do you love about teaching at KHS?
I love that this feels like my home and the people I’m surrounded by everyday feel like my family. We are all so close that even our real family members are considered family to everyone here. It really doesn’t feel like work when you get to do it with people that you love! I love being able to plan the fun stuff for our students and having a role in what makes their high school experience something to remember, or at least I hope that’s what I am doing! I love being my students’ biggest cheerleader, whether in the classroom, on the field, on the court or in their outside school life. They can always count on me to be the biggest and loudest cheerleader for them!
Are you involved in any extracurricular clubs or sports at KHS?
I am the Pirate Pride Cheer Coach
Favorite Teacher Quote:
“Behind every child who believes in themselves is a teacher who believed in them first!”
