Meet the Authors: Mrs. Durbins first grade class published “A Book for the Cook,” which consists of their favorite recipes and why they love them so much. The students chose their favorite foods that their parents cooked for them at home and wrote paragraphs about why it is their favorite, and illustrated their work. Thank you parents who provided these delicious recipes. They celebrated their achievement by having an author’s signing party!

Today at Cafe CPE Ms.Mya’s classes attended a “Book Tasting” and became critics to create a menu of the books they read!!!
Mrs. Nicole's second graders enjoyed a picnic lunch with their teacher today for earning 140 compliments!!! Keep up the great work second graders! 👏🏻👏🏻

Congratulations to Ella Champagne for winning the $40 gift card to Kart Ranch because she sold the most cases for our fundraiser! The following students from Cecil Picard Elementary took part in the Vermilion Parish Physical Fitness Meet; Maddox Girouard, Aiden Martin, Luke Bernard, Madelyn Broussard, Lucy Oubre, and Lily LeBlanc. Madelyn Broussard placed second in the shuttle run, second in long jump, second in pull-ups, third in the 50 yard dash and first in overall events. She will be representing Cecil Picard Elementary at the State Championship Meet in Pineville Louisiana. Lucy Oubre placed first in pull-ups and curl ups event, Lily LeBlanc placed first in sit and reach. Lucy Oubre will also be an alternate representing CPE for the state championship. Maddox Girouard placed third in the curl up event.
