CPE 4-H club held its monthly meeting Tuesday. Members held their regular business meeting and then played games and discussed responsibilities. They also discussed Achievement Day which is a big parish event coming up!🍀🍀
Mrs. Becky's goat followed her to school today, and he had a lot of friends that loved on him. It was a fun surprise to see a goat at school today. 🐐🐐

Great things are happening at CPE!!
Cecil Picard Elementary celebrated our top notch 2023 school performance scores on LEAP Day (February 29th). CPE is #1 elementary school in the parish making us "DISTRICT ACADEMIC CHAMPS"
All students and staff are proudly creating our school letter grade.....A!
Mrs. Chelsea and the 5th graders always take care of our garden during their recess time. Today, they planted lettuce and replanted some potatoes. We love to take our learning outside the classroom!

Thank you to all our special guests for visiting CPE yesterday. Our students enjoyed the books shared with them in honor of Black History Month.
Mrs. Doris Jones came back to her home today and read to Mrs. Stephanie, Mrs. Pam, and Mrs. Lauren's classes for Black History Month.
Mrs. Stephanie's class was able to spread more kindness today. Our hearts are so full seeing all the smiles being brought to our CPE family.
Mrs. Megan’s 2nd graders enjoyed listening to “Black is a Rainbow Color” read by our special guest Shelly Cormier in celebration of Black History Month. Our heritage, experiences, and culture bring us all together just like the colors of a rainbow. 🌈
Saturday was Random Act of Kindness day. We have decided it is great to be kind every day! Mrs. Stephanie's class helped spread kindness around school today. They saw many smiles and learned that when you are kind, it brings happiness! ❤️💙
CPE Beta Club competitors attended the 2024 Beta State Convention on Monday and Tuesday. Our competitors worked hard for all competitions and did a wonderful job representing CPE! Congratulations to the small group dancers on placing 1st place in their division! 👏🏻 Congratulations to Charleigh Dauterive, Mia Broussard, and Ann-Marie Pere’ on being selected as Premier Performers at convention! 👏🏻 We are VERY proud of all the competitors! Great job, Betas! ❤️🤍💙
Mrs. Danielle’s 4th graders celebrated reaching 100 chain links with king cake!! What a sweet treat for reaching this fantastic goal of 100 compliments! Way to go Junior Pats! ❤️💙❤️

Mardi Gras Mambo and King Cake Too!
Ms. Dana and Ms. Jenn’s PreK class enjoyed listening to Mardi Gras music and making a class king cake!! They had a blast, and it was a yummy treat!!
Mrs. Jill and Mrs. Cheryl's class celebrated 100 chain links for good behavior with a pizza party! 🍕They also decorated their own King Cake.
